Flight Line Ground Support Cooling Systems

Initially designed as a custom solution, Air Rover Flight Line “cooling carts” have become an essential ground support component for military Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) around the globe. Built for high temperature environments up to 150°F, these trailer-mounted systems include an ultra-silent generator, duct storage, an energy-efficient ECU and power cable.

Generators are available in 20kW and 36kW and ECUs are available in 36,000 BTU/Hr (3 tons) and 60,000 BTU/Hr (5 tons). Optional spare parts kits also available.

  • Unlike the basic FL models (e.g. FL36BA25), which include a traditional axial fan and single-phase shafted AC motor assembly, FL models ending in “-001” (e.g. FL36BA25-001) are designed with a compact condenser fan unit, which consists of a dynamically balanced axial fan with a directly integrated three-phase external rotor motor (shaftless), mounted inside a ruggedized fan shroud with a fan guard. Fan blades are sickle-shaped and made of steel which, combined with a high-efficiency three-phase AC motor, provide optimal air flow, maximum efficiency and low noise emissions. The compact, ruggedized fan design allows for fast installation, minimum maintenance and provides high resistance to vibration, high shock, environmental and thermal stresses.
